A well-groomed woman is more than a neat hairstyle, manicure and stylish clothes. Just as important are feeling well, self-confidence and a harmonious relationship with your own body.
But while a hairstyle or manicure can deliver a result in a few hours, work on the figure takes far more time and a systematic approach.
Extra centimetres on the abdomen and thighs, localised fat deposits, cellulite, loss of skin firmness — these are not problems one procedure or a single universal method can solve.
Modern body contouring is not a fight against weight at any cost. The main role of hardware procedures is to help improve body contours, skin condition, the appearance of cellulite and, in some cases, reduce localised fat deposits.
It is essential to understand the key point: hardware procedures do not replace balanced nutrition and physical activity, and they are not intended to treat obesity. Their purpose is to address specific aesthetic concerns and to complement a healthy lifestyle.
There is no single device that solves every task equally well. Different technologies act on different tissues and mechanisms.
So before choosing a procedure, it is important to define what exactly needs correcting: fat deposits, cellulite, puffiness, skin quality, firmness or muscle tone.
LPG Endermologie® — working with tissue, cellulite and skin quality
LPG Cellu M6 Infinity® is mechanical tissue stimulation using motorised rollers, a flap and controlled vacuum.
LPG does not freeze, suction or destroy fat cells. Its defining feature is mechanical mobilisation of the tissues.
The modern Cellu M6 Infinity® is equipped with the Infinite Waves™ system, triple motorisation and 30 Hz vibration. This allows the specialist to adapt the treatment to tissue characteristics and the specific area.
The procedure can be used for comprehensive work with:
- signs of cellulite;
- reduced skin firmness;
- uneven surface relief;
- localised fat deposits;
- a feeling of heaviness and a tendency to puffiness;
- tissue quality and tone.
In short, LPG’s main advantage is a combined effect on the tissues when you need to work at once on skin relief, firmness and the visible signs of cellulite.
According to the BeScored 2024 study, after a course of 12 procedures 93% of women noted an improvement in the appearance of “orange-peel” skin, and 92% reported improved skin firmness; the study also reported a waist circumference reduction of up to 5.8 cm.
Procedure duration: about 50 minutes.
For marked correction a typical recommendation is a course of 2 procedures a week for 6 weeks; the final programme is set after assessing tissue condition and the treatment goal.
Cryolipolysis — when the main task is localised fat
Cryolipolysis differs from LPG fundamentally in how it works.
As we already discussed in our blog — cold is especially effective against localised deposits that diets often cannot handle.
Here the action targets the local layer of subcutaneous fat: an applicator captures a fold of fatty tissue and cools it in a controlled way. Fat cells damaged by cold are then gradually cleared by the body.
Cryolipolysis is therefore a logical choice when the main concern is a localised fat “bulge” — for example on the abdomen, flanks or other areas suited to the procedure.
At the same time, cryolipolysis is not a method of overall weight loss. It is intended specifically for correcting selected localised fat deposits.
Results develop gradually, not immediately after the session: the body needs time to remove the damaged fat cells. The FDA notes that this process usually takes several months.
The key difference from LPG: cryolipolysis is local work on fatty tissue; LPG is mechanical work on the tissues — relief, cellulite and skin turgor.
Ultratone — focus on muscle tone
Ultratone electrostimulation works on an entirely different principle.
During the procedure, electrical impulses trigger muscle contractions. Depending on the programme and parameters, you can work on muscle tone and activation of specific muscle groups.
This is especially relevant in body-contouring programmes where working on fat alone is not enough — for example when you also need to improve muscle tone and the visual contours of the body.
It is important to state the effect correctly: electrostimulation is not a full substitute for training and does not mean automatic burning of large numbers of calories.
Ultratone is therefore best seen as a complementary tool, not as an alternative to physical activity.
The main distinction: if LPG works primarily with tissues and their mechanical properties, and cryolipolysis with localised fat, electrostimulation focuses on muscle activity and tone.
Why is combining several technologies sometimes better?
Because an aesthetic concern is rarely only one thing.
For example, a client may have at the same time:
- localised excess fat;
- cellulite;
- reduced skin firmness;
- insufficient muscle tone.
In that situation, trying to solve everything with a single procedure is not always optimal.
That is why a contouring programme can be built in stages:
- localised fat → work on tissue quality and cellulite → improving muscle tone → maintenance care.
The combination of procedures should be chosen individually, taking into account age, skin condition, the amount of subcutaneous fat, how pronounced the cellulite is, lifestyle and the stated goal.
For example, a young woman with a small localised fat deposit and good skin condition may need an entirely different programme from an older woman with marked loss of tissue firmness and cellulite.
That is why in body contouring what matters is not the most expensive or most powerful device, but the right technology for the specific task.
What is important to know before starting a course?
Hardware body contouring is not a way to “drop 5 kg” quickly. These procedures work primarily with body shape, local areas, skin quality, cellulite and muscle tone — not with overall body weight.
The most rational approach is therefore to combine:
- balanced nutrition;
- regular physical activity;
- adequate sleep and recovery;
- individually selected hardware procedures;
- monitoring of volume changes and tissue condition.
At Esthétique Médicale we do not offer one universal procedure for everyone. First the specialist assesses tissue condition and defines the main aesthetic goal, then selects the optimal method or combination of technologies.
The aim is not to promise the impossible, but to choose a scientifically grounded, realistic path toward more harmonious body contours and better skin quality.
For more than 20 years, the specialists at Esthétique Médicale have worked with aesthetic correction technologies and helped women and men of different ages build individual body-care programmes.
A beautiful body is not necessarily ideal measurements. Above all it is health, proportions, skin quality and feeling well.
Ready for a plan built around your goal? Book a consultation at Esthétique Médicale — we’ll assess your tissue condition and recommend LPG, cryolipolysis, Ultratone, or a combination that actually fits.
